Tru-Fire releases a new spring loaded release, aiming at being affordable without the sacrifice of quality and performance.

Tru-Fire Smoke

Tru-Fire, the world leader in the evolution of archery releases, has introduced the Smoke dual-jaw caliper release. The surprisingly affordable Smoke release incorporates the latest technology from the Tru-Fire Edge release with the reliability of the company’s tried-and-true Hurricane design to create the most dependable wrist strap-style release on the market.

Designed to meet the needs of all levels of bowhunters, the new Tru-Fire Smoke utilizes spring-loaded jaws with a linear bearing system in combination with Tru-Forward trigger-finger positioning in a compact, smaller than dime-sized (0.623-inch diameter) release head. With an adjustable travel range, the trigger’s release point is set at approximately 4.5 ounces from the factory, and when the trigger is released, the spring-loaded jaws return to the closed position.

The Smoke features a brushed black cotton buckle strap with heavy-duty silver stitching. The patented Tru-Fire Foldback Ring design allows the release head to be flipped back 180-degrees, where it stays held in position against the archer’s arm when moving around, but it can be flipped out in an instant to engage the string loop.

The Smoke accommodates nearly an unlimited range of archers and their styles. With 10 buckle-pin adjustment points, the Smoke adds 5/8-inches of travel adjustment to the release head, which can be locked down for either left-hand or right-hand archers for added assurance and repeatability.

The Tru-Fire Smoke release is made in the U.S.A., and each one is tested to 200 lbs. The Smoke will be shipping to dealers in the spring of 2015, and the suggested retail price is $49.99.
